John Fletcher

John is the Real Estate Manager for Nationwide Building Society based in Swindon, and he has been an active member of the IBRF since its early days. In his role at Nationwide, John is responsible for all property management activities including acquisitions, disposals, rent reviews, lease renewals, rating and non operational maintenance.

Following his appointment, John commented: "I'd like to thank my predecessors Mike Knight and Ken Bruce for the excellent leadership they have both shown over the years and I hope to be able to follow their example. We are all going through unprecedented economic conditions that are having a large impact on our businesses and we are all under pressure to control our costs.

The role of the IBRF as a knowledge sharing and influencing forum in a complex area of property law and taxation is more relevant than ever. I look forward to meeting up with all our members in 2009."
